Job Description

We are seeking a talented Remote Sensing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be integral in studying the best payloads and their integration into our Stratostats® platform, analyzing imagery, conducting full observations based on client requirements, and performing post-mission data analysis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies for payload integration that optimize the performance and capabilities of the Stratostats® platform.
  • Analyze satellite imagery and other remote sensing data to provide actionable insights.
  • Work closely with clients to understand and translate their needs into detailed observation missions.
  • Manage data collection and perform detailed post-mission analysis to ensure that objectives are met and to inform future missions.
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to enhance the AI software that supports mission planning and payload management.

Basic qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in satellite imagery analysis or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in remote sensing software and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a remote setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience in aerospace or related industries.
  • Familiarity with stratospheric or high-altitude balloon systems.
